I upgraded ssh last night and stressed over the restart step. I went ahead and it worked. I did not get this error, and my /var/empty directory is dated Dec 9. 755 are the directory permissions. There is a file in the directory called '.keep.backup' which has a size of 0 and is owned by root. - Mark -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
