machinename.privatedomain (none) Gentoo version number.
Of course all of the above has the correct information, I just changed from the true for this example. My question is, why the (none)? I have the correct information in hostname and dnsdomainname files. The /etc/init.d/domainname is started when I boot. Is this possibly because I only have eth0 and no eth1 or did I miss something when I did the network configuration?
