The information systems people moved around mount points on the system that I maintain a local mirror for work causeing the mirror to start reloading every file. A major amount of data. Which in turn took all of network firewall bandwidth. IS had a fit and shutdown the whole subnet trying to find the offending server.
The whole mirror is unnecessary for our use. It would be much lower bandwidth if only the files asked for ( a small subset of the total) were all that was mirrored.
