[gentoo-user] on to printing...

I have a little four port router I use to share my internet connection 
with my boxes and it has a print server on it. What's the easiest app to 
use to send my print jobs to it? I don't need a spooler like cups, 
right? That's what the router does (it's probably a stripped-down linux 
under the hood anyway). Can I just start lpd on boot and have the ip 
address of the router in some config file somewhere? Do I need something 
like foomatic? Somehow I don't suppose this is going to be easy.

PS: I realize that this isn't really a gentoo specific question, but you 
guys are so damn helpful! :-)
