I have been trying for the past few days to unsubscribe from this
list, with no success. I have subbed/unsubbed to various gentoo
lists before, but I can't seem to get any ezmlm response now, not
even from the help system. Either the management part of the list
isn't working, or I'm doing something wrong with the format of
my unsubscribe request. Sending a completely blank email, with no
body, gets bounced by qmail on the ezmlm server; various
permutations of the unsub request get no response.
Personally, I prefer a web-based sub/unsub system to avoid these
types of issues. Could someone provide me a command line guaranteed
to work unsub request? Something like:
echo "correct format string" | \
mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
P.S. I am trying to unsubscribe because I recently discovered there
is a Usenet gateway for this list. How come the email addresses of
posters to this list aren't obscured to prevent harvesting by bots?
