winston root # emerge -V Portage 2.0.49-r20 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.3, glibc-2.3.2-r3, 2.4.22-gentoo-r2) And after: winston root # emerge -p portage These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating dependencies ...done! [ebuild R ] sys-apps/portage-2.0.49-r21 And asfter ... winston root # emerge portage [bla, bla bla] After that ... winston root # emerge -V Portage 2.0.49-r20 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.3, glibc-2.3.2-r3, 2.4.22-gentoo-r2) Funny isn't it ?
