I'm sure that all you need to do is correct the permission in devfsd.conf - either 
less restrictive permissions or adding the appropriate group membership.  
Unfortunately I can't give you the specific changes (I'm a devfsd dummy); perhaps 
someone else will chime in?  Or maybe you can find something in the forums?
