During the compilation phase (so far I've seen this in kdelibs, kdemultimedia and kdenetwork), a message like this appears several times:
trying to create local folder: Permission denied failed to create /root/.kde/share/config/ trying to create local folder: Permission denied failed to create /root/.kde/share/config/ trying to create local folder: Permission denied ... the compilation then completes OK, and then emerge goes on with the next package.
