Hi,
Does anyone know how to configure xpdf to print on a specific CUPS
printer? I have read through the man pages for xpdf and xpdfrc and don't see
much, or likely what is there is not registering. I've looked at
http://www.foolabs.com/xpdf

I do see a program called 'xpdftops' that apparently converts the PDF
file to postscript, and then some comments about piping that to the printer.
Since I know very little about printing in Linux, will this always work? The
machine is remote so I cannot see what's happening. For this reason I'd like
to have some good info before I start telling the user to try things.

OK, so I have a working printer under CUPS called 'DJ693'. It's an HP
DeskJet 693 printer sitting behind a little NetGear print server at local
address lpd://192.168.1.48/PI. (As reported in the CUPS manager app.) The
printer works great from apps like Evolution and Mozilla.

In xpdf if the user clicks the printer button in the bottom right nothing
happens. Likely the file is either being converted to postscript and stored
somewhere, or possibly there's an error message in the login console that
he's not aware of.

Any hints on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark
