I recently upgraded from kde 3.1.2 to 3.1.4, and I often get these long pauses and delays, 5-15s (subjectively, not timed), when launching an application from the kde icons or menus. Launching from terminal window command line is quick as ever, and the delays weren't there before the upgrade. The cpu usage is next to nothing during the wait. Anyone got an idea as to which settings or configs should be changed, or what I might have done wrong during the upgrade?
