I have upgraded, in parallel, my pc from Redhat 9 Kernel 2.4.x to Gentoo Kernel 2.6.x On my old system I used xawtv with overlay on my GeForce460MX (rivatv and saa7108e modules).
Now on the 2.6 kernel I cannot get video-in overlay to work anymore and I have no idea what the kernel requirements are! And the grabdisplay performance is not upto scratch. Note, grabdisplay never worked on the kernel 2.4, so I'm puzzled to the swap of functionality.. I can boot into the old system and overlay still works fine so it is not a limitation of the hardware.
