The strange thing is, the /etc/fstab file was untouched. and was the
correctly one that's been used for the past few weeks, which is quite
puzzling.

I'm gonna have them re-do a stage3 setup, this time, using the correct
stages, overwrite whatever was there, and see if that could at least
the the system going.
