I'm semi-stuck with ATI Rage XL video on this machine (It's built into the motherboard) and I've been more or less ignoring it because I had other things to do. But I've been noticing all the traffic about ATI drivers, 2D and 3D and so on -- all without much understanding because I've never had to learn much about video.
However, the video speed could be a bit better, even for what I'm doing. Can anybody tell me if I should be looking for something besides the stock Gentoo drivers?
