I have an external dvdwriter (nec 3500a) in a 3,5" usb2 external rack.
It works flawlessly : I can burn cd/dvd without any problems. But when I switch it off, or unplug it, gentoo freezes : when under kde, the programs stops responding, and after few seconds, the mouse stop moving too. There's nothing in /var/log/kernel, and I don't know what to do. I have an up to date gentoo, using 2.6.9 kernel. Any ideas ? Thanks ! Gael Beaudoin -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
