Actually, with newer versions of "gensplash" (media-gfx/splashutils and the patch in gentoo-dev-sources), it will automatically switch to the text screen if an error occurs in an init script, allowing you to see the output. -- Calvin Walton -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
