I am running into problems using mii-tool with the e1000 Intel Cards. Has anyone had any problems using ethtool in place of mii-tool? If so
what are things that I should look out for?
My understanding is that some cards work for ethtool, some work for mii-diag, some work for both, and some cards don't work at all. I have both installed on my systems, but generally use ethtool as it works fine for the e1000 and the tg3/broadcom stuff which almost all our boxes use.
