There is a second file like the swap file: hiberfil.sys, which is used for 
suspend-to-disk. This can be deactivated too, but don't ask how.

But this unmovable-file-in-the-middle-problem must be a NTFS-only problem. 
With WinXP on FAT32 this isn't a problem. GNU parted didn't warned about 
anything as I resized from 40GB to 8GB. And the Windows is still running.
