You're right, it looks like something to do with your rc dependencies. What version of ypbind and yp-tools do you have installed? Can you paste the output of "head /etc/init.d/ypbind"? And do you have anything in /etc/conf.d/ypbind? - O -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
