I've been trying to update my servers with `emerge -gK world`,
but I'm running into some really strange problems.

The update doesn't seem to be getting everything. If I run
`emerge --update --deep --pretend world` on a client after an
update then I get about 50 additional items that need to be
updated.

I check on the master binary server, and these items are
already updated there, and binary packages exist for them.

I've run fixpackages multiple times on both the server and
client.

What gives? Is portage just buggy?
