OOO only depends on >=virtual/jre-1.4.1 (at least, the openoffice-1.1.3.ebuild on my machine does), which should mean that _any_ JRE newer than 1.4.0 should work. Maybe it just _looks_ like it requires blackdown-jre because you haven't installed a newer than 1.4.0 JRE (like, say, dev-java/sun-jre-bin-1.4.2.07-r1)? -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
