Calculating dependencies \ emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "=dev-lang/python-2.2.3-r5".
I see there is no ebuild for python-2.2.3-r5 any more. There is a 2.2.3-r6, but when I try to update python, I get: python-2.3.4-r1 installed. n # emerge -pu python These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating dependencies ...done! rygel python # emerge -p python These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating dependencies ...done! [ebuild R ] dev-lang/python-2.3.4-r1 I'm confused by this, because python 2.2 and 2.3 appear to be in different slots. Was there a problem in the python-2.2.3-r5 perhaps, and it wasn't properly slotted? I'm not sure what I should do at this point. Do I still need python 2.2.3 at all? can I safely unmerge it? Or should I force python-2.2.3-r6 to be installed? -- Chris Bare [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- [email protected] mailing list
