I am looking to switch to wireless networking and am unsure of which cards are well supported under Linux? I am looking for PCI styled cards and preferably ones that can do 54Mbps.

Any experiences, suggestions?

Prism54 cards work REALLY well, if you can get hold of them; since you say 54g isn't absolutely essential, you might have more luck finding second-hand 11mbit Prism cards, which I gather were very common at the time 802.11b was introduced.

I've put some notes up at Gentoo-wiki about using these cards in wireless routers / basestations / accesspoints. They're at <http://gentoo-wiki.com/ HOWTO_Building_a_Wireless_Access_Point_With_Gentoo>

Stroller.
