/ yes, you'll have to boot with an initrd. /boot depends on the bootloader. AFAIK there is a patch for lilo to make it work with EVMS volumes, but not for grub. I'd recommend to make /boot a real partition (32M should be enough). Everything else can be on lv's. Bye...
