Folks: Just installed Gentoo on a laptop with a dvd-rom. Everything seems ok, except that the system cannot mount dvd's. I have done the following: ln -s /dev/cdrom /dev/dvd (also tried, ln -s /dev/hdc /dev/dvd) and have configured /etc/fstab like so: /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,ro,users 0 0 /dev/dvd /mnt/dvd iso9660 noauto,ro,users 0 0 Any clues as to how to get the system to mount and play dvd's ? TIA, -- Qv6 |
