I am trying to get sound in VMWare but it will not recognize that /dev/dsp is available through artsd or esd. It keeps saying /dev/dsp does not exists, but of coarse it does since both esd and artsd both use it and they are both working. Does VMWare not allow you to use a wrapper anymore? I use to use the old 4.0 version with artsdsp and esddsp just fine, but this new 5.0 crap just wont listen to what I have to say about what is and is not there. Maybe I need to replace /dev/dsp with something else? Does anyone else have the same problem? -- [email protected] mailing list
