Except I didn't report a delay -- I reported outright failure. I very quickly get a dialog reporting "Alert -- Error trying to validate certificate from sofrwarereg.sun.com using OCSP - directory lookup failure." I guess it's a local configuration issue, which in Firefox can be very hard to figure out.
