What's happening is... you updated cracklib to version 2.80 which installed it's libraries under /usr/lib and the install scripts left an old 2.70 cracklib library under /usr. Look under /usr and then under /usr/lib. Checking tobe certain that cracklib 2.80 is indeed installed on your computer. Then delete the old *crack* stuff from /usr. Pam will now install correctly.
