Hi guys, I have some problems to get my headset to work.
I have a snd_hda_intel soundcard and the output works pretty good - like watching videos etc pp. But Skype is not able to use my mic. I can hear myself in the speakers but for some reasons I can't use the mic for a skype phonecall. I have installed alsa after this documentation: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/alsa-guide.xml Alsaconf does not recognize my soundcard, but alsamixer works. Is there a special Kernelmodule I need to install? gentoo user # lspci | grep Audio 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03) gentoo user # gentoo user # lsmod | grep snd_hda snd_hda_codec_analog 69192 1 snd_hda_intel 18522 4 snd_hda_codec 56894 2 snd_hda_codec_analog,snd_hda_intel snd_hwdep 4964 1 snd_hda_codec snd_pcm 54908 4 snd_pcm_oss,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec snd 44572 18 snd_seq_oss,snd_seq,snd_seq_device,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_hda_codec_analog,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec,snd_hwdep,thinkpad_acpi,snd_pcm,snd_timer snd_page_alloc 5849 2 snd_hda_intel,snd_pcm firmware_class 4997 9 iwlagn,snd_hda_codec,tg3,aic94xx,libsas,qla2xxx,qla1280,advansys,pcmcia gentoo user # Regards, alokat
