As others have already suggested most likely the problem is something to do with the way you have set up KMS for radeon and the way you have configured the firmware. Read this page (with special attention of the framebuffer part) and then post back if you are having problems: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/xorg-config.xml At the same time you will most likely sort out your Xorg problem (which you haven't come across yet). ;-) -- Regards, Mick
