I was just compiling my kernel using genkernel, and it seems genkernel 3.4.24 is broken. I have specified INSTALL=YES in /etc/genkernel.conf; the installtion does not happen, instead awk throws an error saying failed to read /var/tmp/genkernel/<random decimal number>/grub.map no such file or directory.
