I installed KDE 3.4.1 using the split ebuilds. At the kdm login screen, there is no disk activity. When logged in, however, no matter which user, the disk is constantly being accessed. top shows no unusual activity - not to my eyes, anyway. If I log into KDE 3.3, the disk is quiet. How might I discover what is running to cause the disk access? Thanks.
