It's the current stable version on amd64, and you seem to be the only
one having problems with it.

I think the problem is likely with your setup (i.e. other toolchain
component, CFLAGS, ...).

Been running 2.14.1-r3 on an amd64 16-core server for a couple of weeks.
MAKEOPTS is at -j20.

No crashes so far, emerge keeps working and the machine had no problems
rebooting after a kernel update.
