I can't see any error. I get those spurious failures if I use emerge-j4 (i.e. multiple emerges in parallel)


Furthermore make sure you the following libraries installed
dev-libs/mpc  dev-libs/mpfr and dev-libs/gmp

Try rebuild it with emerge -j1 and maybe  MAKEOPTS=-j1
