You've hit a bug in dispatch-conf. /etc/init.d/net.eth0 was previously a file. Now it's a symlink to net.lo. dispatch-conf fails to handle that change correctly. Hence, delete /etc/init.d/net.eth0 and recreate it as a symlink and all should be fine. -- Jason Stubbs
