Actually, I'm probably wrong on that. In ssh agent mode I think that gpg-agent also exports SSH_AUTH_SOCKET or something like that and emulates ssh-agent, in addition to exporting GPG_AGENT_INFO. If somebody knows the details feel free to post. For the most part most desktop environments configure it to "just work." Rich
