I don't know if it's related, but I was getting lockups shortly after
booting. They seem to have stopped after I disabled CONFIG_VMAP_STACK, a
new option that defaulted to Y.
Hmm... I thought that looked likely, but after doing that I still had no
screen but the boot process continued. I can't see anything else that might
be causing it.
