Hi, I want to wipe a partition from old stuff, so that: 1) a new mkfs.whatever will not revive the old stuff 2) the wipe does not to be "cryptograohically secure" (i.e. dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/partition) 3) only the contents of partition and nothing else will be wiped I will try to mkfs.ext4 the partition as Nils suggested.
