Actually, if you've got separate USB-1, -2, and -3 ports, make sure it's the only thing on the -3 ports. Sharing devices on a hub (and a lot of mobos have internal hubs so you don't know if ports are shared or not) can cause all sorts of grief if you're unlucky.
