Are you using distcc? I had problems emerging kioslaves a couple of weeks ago too. My issues went away when I commented out FEATURES="distcc" from /etc/make.conf and cranked MAKEOPTS down to -j1. Cheers, Phil -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
