I tried recompiling orbit, but that didn't help. I was gonna go back to version 2.12.0 but it's no longer in protage. A manual install of orbit 2.12.0 resulted in Abiword not being able to find the libraries. Thus I'm back where I started. I'm gonna call it a bug and go from there. Thanks again for the help.
