If the filesystem is ext2 or ext3 it's pretty likely that this 500MB is the 5% reserved for root :-) So you can't see it, but the space is there. Google around this, as I'm not sure whether root should see this 5% as available or not. regards pshemko -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
