I am wondering whether gentoo has any portage containing equivalents to the /usr/bin/from on *BSD; it's a small program that prints names of those who have sent mail. Thanks in advance for any help/comments!
You may try something like $ grep '^From:' /your/mailbox -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
