AFAIK both net.eth0 and net.eth1 should be symbolic links to net.lo. http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/2006.0/handbook-x86.xml?part=4&chap=1 The handbook has a slight gramattical error in the description, but the command given: ln -s net.lo net.eth0 will create a symbolic link named net.eth0 pointing at net.lo. -Richard -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
