that is normal. If you use Xgl, direct rendering does not work - and indirect rendering is dead slow. One workaround, start a second X: xinit -e xterm -- :1& there you can start any game you want - it won't be slower and you can switch between the xgl -desktop and the game. -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
