/etc/conf.d/net shows configurations are using
/etc/conf/net.examples  shows the possibilities.

netstat -nr   <shows> your routing 

cat /proc/net/ip_conntrack      <to see connections>


> bmon shows throughput, ethtool show negotiated speed, full/half duplex

I like 'bwmon' and it's in portage.
