Can you post the output of 'grep -v -e "^ *#" -e "^ *$" /etc/lvm/lvm.conf'. Also you might try taking a look at the output of pvscan -vv, and make sure that hda4 shows up. -Richard -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
