Well this doc does not cover the 'k6' arch. Should I change make.conf
#CFLAGS="-O2 -march=i686 -pipe"
to
CFLAGS="-O2 -march=k6 -pipe"

Also, I was going to use these USE flags:

USE=" -*  hardened pic ncurses ssl crypt berkdb tcpd pam perl python readline"

for the initail bootstap build.

Note I used  stage3-i686-2006.1.tar.bz2
and portage-latest.tar.bz2

Sound reasonable for a K6-200MHz machine that is only
going to be used as a dns secondary server.
