Hi folks, it seems ivtv needs a newer kernel than the one I am currently using; it depends on a configuration symbol in the kernel that is not present in mine. Since I don't have the time right now to go through a kernel configuration, I want to skip ivtv.
emerge --update --skipfirst world Unfortunately, that skips ivtv *and* the next package which is OpenOffice. I know I can temporarely unmerge ivtv but my question is: Is --skipfirst broken?
