Guys, with all due respect, you don't really know what pain means!  Try 
emerging OOo on a 600MHz, 125MB RAM box and have it tripping over itslelf, 29 
hours (!!! yes, twenty nine hours!) into the emerge, hold for it, twice over 
in a row!  Bl**dy hell!  That's the sort of pain that brings you close to the 
edge of despair and thoughts of sledge hammers being forcefully driven 
through monitors . . .  :@ 

Over the years I recon it may have even happened three times in a row - we're 
talking here about the best part of a week and that does not include emerging 
monolithic KDE and Xorg!  Still, it must have been at least three 
milliseconds faster on launch . . .  :-))
