Then, rsync behaves kind of stupid, because if rsync always uses the same server, and the server doesn't work, then the sync will not work. But rsync could chose a different server, well, the second-best server, if the best server has failed. But it didn't do that :-( Well, but any discussion about that would be off-topic.
